Dillard Gets the Call

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Tim Dillard has been called up from Triple-A Nashville. Dillard, 24, was pitching in relief for the Sounds. He had a 2.01 ERA in 31.1 innings pitched.

I like this move a lot. The pitching right now is not getting the job done. Gagne's status is now up in the air since he has rotator cuff tendinitis. I'm hoping Dillard gets a shot at starting. Dave Bush can't keep going out to start games with an ERA around 7. The Brewers are hoping Dillard can give them a much needed lift. They recently called up Mike DiFelice and Zach Jackson from Triple-A as well but they don't appear to be the answer.
